Impending Doom

I’ve got an “impending doom” feeling today. My work has become obsessed with protecting employee’s personal information. This is a good thing because speaking as average-joe-working person I want the company to protect my data.
The problem for me is that my work involves that data! Add to it that we moved recently. All types of media and other things had to be cleaned out before we left. Every desk inspected, drawers checked and even pulling out drawers to see what feel behind them was done to every desk.
So then last night I had a dream that I forgot to clean-out my desk of a few CDs before we moved. I don’t remember specifically throwing them away but I’m sure that’s what I did. Even with several people who checked the desk after me, the movers checked and another manager checked; I woke up in a cold sweat. I couldn’t get back to sleep so figured I might as well get up and go to work.
First thing I did was check the old area; the desks were moved to storage. I then contact facilities and they went to the desk (as I still had my key to it) and the said they found nothing.
Yet, I still feel like everything hasn’t been made right. So now I’m wondering if I’m on the edge of being OCD! Perhaps if there is a CD on the bottom of the desk it won’t be found until 20 years later like the stuff I found in the very same desk dating anywhere from 1982 to 1997!
I’ll see you at the sink morning, noon and night!
